The “Asia TEAMZ Blockchain Summit”, organized by TEAMZ and LEGNACAP, co-hosted by HUOBI Global, JINSE Finance, COINTIME, SoarEX and HOSTASTAY was successfully held on June 13th at the prominent Sunway Pyramid Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A few prominent figures attended the Summit notably Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, who had delivered his keynote speech during the opening of the Summit.


Our Dato’ Simon was honourably invited to be in two panel discussions. The first was “Why bring TEAMZ Blockchain to the Asia Market”. Alongside with him, there are Peh Chuen Peng – Chairman of Legnacap Berhad, TianYu Yang – CEO of TEAMZ, ToTo YanYing Deng- COO of TEAMZ and Jordan Oon – Founder & CEO of HostaStay. Speakers had a fruitful discussions on why TEAMZ has interests on the South East Asia Market specifically.


The second roundtable discussion was held on June 14th , on the law-making and regulation of the blockchain industry. Our Dato’ Simon summarily pointed out the importance of the need for a Malaysian company to disclose its development to increase transparency while the industry is having rapid changes. By doing this, the investors will be treated equally and fairly, and the lawmakers will provide higher standards for the industry to foster a better growth environment.


Besides that, Dato’ Simon also shared his perspectives on the regulations and policies applicable to the blockchain industry in “Framework for Digital Assets in Malaysia”. He urged the essential in standardizing the law.
